The journey of Kumo Luxe began with a profound inspiration drawn from several years our founder spent living in Japan. Reflecting on this wisdom, our founder was inspired to think differently about how products are traditionally created in the West, particularly in personal care. Recognizing that much of our haircare industry relies heavily on synthetic chemicals, he saw a fundamental misalignment with the holistic principles he had come to admire. Armed with this knowledge and motivated by the alarming effects of everyday chemical ingredients like DEA—linked to nerve damage, memory loss, and serious illnesses such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s disease—he envisioned a new path.
