HOW IT WORKS FOR PROFESSIONALS
To sign up for a Kumo Professional Luxe Loyalist discount code, salon professionals, whether salon owners or independent stylists, must be licensed by their state. Salon owners must provide a copy of their salon license and a copy of their individual cosmetology license. Independent stylists must only provide a copy of their cosmetology license.
After signing up, the salon professional will receive an email that includes their individual Luxe Loyalist discount code. To access the Kumo Professional Luxe Loyalist page and shop, they will need to enter their code and their email address. Upon entry, professionals can add products to their carts and purchase at wholesale price. Salon professionals will be exempt from taxes on retail resale products; however, back-bar products and station products are non–tax exempt.
Depending on minimum purchase volume and dollar amount, salon professionals may or may not have freight charges and will receive 24 to 48 hour shipping.
Kumo will protect salon professionals’ personal financial information with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256 technology. Kumo will also offer optional two-factor authentication (2FA) by Authy.
Salon professionals accumulate points as they purchase Kumo products. Once points start to accumulate, professionals can use their points to redeem Kumo back bar products, station products, tools, and education. Professionals can also unlock different Luxe Loyalist levels (e.g.: Silver, Bronze, Platinum), based on past purchases.
Many times, salon professionals don’t have the means or the space to carry a massive amount of product. With that in mind, the Kumo Luxe Loyalist program also allows salon professionals to give their customers Kumo discount codes in the form of professionally branded gift cards or credit cards. These discount codes allow customers to become Luxe Loyalists and buy Kumo products online at 10% off.
Each salon or independent stylist will receive 1,000 unique Kumo discount codes. Discount codes will be linked to that specific salon or independent stylist, so Kumo can track purchases.
Salon professionals must sign customers up for the Luxe Loyalist program at their salon, and the customer will then automatically receive their discount code via email. Kumo will also mail physical branded gift cards with their unique discount code to the customer’s mailing address.
The salon or independent stylist will receive a 40% cash rebate from every customer’s purchase. Based on discount codes redeemed, Kumo will automatically calculate rebate totals every 30 days and automatically send payment to the salon or independent stylist via Venmo.
HOW IT WORKS FOR CUSTOMERS
Customers must have a unique Luxe Loyalist discount code from their salon or stylist in order to access the Kumo Luxe Loyalist Customer page and order discounted products. To enter, customers must simply provide their email address as well as their discount code and PIN, which they received in their welcome email.
Each customer will receive a 10% discount (not including tax) for buying products online as a Luxe Loyalist. The salon will simultaneously receive a 40% cash rebate from each customer’s purchase. Customers can use the discount as many times as they wish and have the ability to share their code with friends and family members.

Some customers may organically happen upon the Kumo site and wish to purchase products, which they may do—at full price, plus tax.
Organic search customers who want to become Luxe Loyalists may use the geolocation function on the Kumo website to become connected with a Kumo salon. The geolocation function will provide a list of nearby Kumo salons, based on zip code, for the customer to contact. This feature also benefits salons, as it helps to bring in new clients.
If a customer wants to return a product that they have bought using a Luxe Loyalist discount code, then the customer will need to return it to the salon that they got the code from—not to the manufacturer. All returns must be within 30 days of purchase.
